Co-authored with Megan Alrutz and collaborators, this chapter examines the Performing Justice Project (PJP), a national applied theatre initiative that engages youth in devising original performances about gender (in)justice. The piece explores how performance becomes a site of negotiation, making visible the politics of identity, power, and resistance, while offering critical strategies for educators, theatre makers, and activists working at the intersections of gender justice and applied theatre.
