The Blasphemy of a Good Bath is a new spoken word performance written and performed by Michael Hatcher, presented by every.Word Poetry at The VORTEX in October 2025. Co-directed by Jasmine Games, the production explores care, cleansing, and memory through poetry, embodiment, and live performance. Jasmine also served as the opening performer, curating and presenting work that framed the evening’s themes.

Each night of the showcase featured a curated lineup of poets, musicians, and multidisciplinary artists selected by the artistic team for their talent, community impact, and alignment with the work’s exploration of resilience and healing.
